They are pleasantly surprised when they discover that The Hilltop Manor is Montessori and based. The difference is evidient in the quality of Ralph's life. Filled with music, art, dancing, acting and writing, the old folks home isn't so old anymore. The arts keep them all young!
Arts for Life, the 10 Minute Play, allows the viewer to be intimately engaged in the use of the creative arts with those who are living with Alzheimer's and Dementia. Taking place at Hilltop Manor, the Montessori Methods are in place and everyone has a job to do and a calender to keep aprised of. Music is an integral part, of everyone's day, as well as, participating in: art, drama, dance and writing. The arts truly do heal. Arts For Life, showcases how the Montessori Method, transforms the lives of those living with Alzheimer's and Dementia and their families and caregivers.. Adopted from the Montessori Pre-school's by Dr. Jeremy Camp, the focus is on building self esteem and confidence by assigning roles. This method, utilizes all of the arts, and provides the information that is missing into the environment such as by using labels and instructions. Every home that boasts a "memory care unit" should be implenting this, its that good!
